Lumo Pop privacy policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Lumo Pop is a bubble shooter game for Android and iPhone. This policy explains what happens to your data when you play it. "We" and "us" mean the developer named in the "Contact" section at the end of this page, which is also where to write to us.
In short
- There are no accounts and no purchases. The game never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Your progress and a short game log are saved only on your phone. We have no game servers, and the game itself sends none of this to us or to anyone else.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Google's ad software can collect some data from your device, described under "Ads". Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent first.
- We do not sell your data. See "Ads" for what some US state laws call "selling" or "sharing".
What stays on your phone
- Your progress: the levels you reached, your stars, coins and outfit items, your sound setting, the date you first opened the game, and counters the game uses to space out ads (for example when the last ad was shown).
- A short game log: a list of recent game events (for example "level 12 started" or "level 12 won", at most 500 entries) and running totals, such as tries per level and the days you played. It holds no name, contact details or device identifier. The game uses it on your phone and does not send it anywhere.
This data is kept in the app's own storage on your phone. The game does not send notifications and does not use your camera, microphone, contacts, photos or GPS.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the game deletes everything it saved on your phone. On Android you can also clear it in Settings, Apps, Lumo Pop, Storage, "Clear storage". Because there are no accounts, we hold no copy of your progress and there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Backups by Google and Apple
If backup is turned on in your phone's settings, Android may copy the game's saved data (your progress and the short game log) into your Google account backup, and an iPhone into iCloud or a computer backup. That lets your progress come back when you reinstall the game or set up a new phone from that backup. Google and Apple keep these backups under your account and settings. We cannot see them. To remove them, delete the backup in your phone's or account's backup settings.
Ads (Google AdMob)
- Which ads: a video you can choose to watch for a reward (for example extra shots after a lost level), and now and then a full-screen ad after you win a level and tap Next, starting from level 12 and at most 6 a day. There are no banner ads, and no ads appear while you are playing a level.
- Consent first: when the game starts, it asks Google's consent tool whether consent is needed where you live. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, and wherever else the law requires it, you see a consent message and can accept, refuse or choose what to allow. If you do not give consent, the game asks Google for non-personalised ads only.
- Changing your answer: the game does not yet have an in-game button to reopen the consent message. To see it again, clear the game's storage (Android) or uninstall and reinstall the game. You can also write to us.
- US state laws: in some US states, showing personalised ads can count as "selling" or "sharing" data. Where those laws apply and Google's consent tool offers it, the consent message lets you opt out. You can also limit ad personalisation in your device settings (see "Your controls").
- iPhone: after your first win, iPhone asks whether the game may track you across other companies' apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). Either answer is fine and the game plays the same. If you say no, Google's ad software cannot use your device's advertising identifier.
What Google may collect through AdMob
Google's ad software in the game may collect, under Google's own policies:
- Device identifiers: on Android, the advertising ID and the app set ID; on iPhone, the advertising identifier only if you allow tracking, plus an identifier limited to one developer's apps.
- Approximate location: your IP address, which can show your general area (such as your country or city). The game does not use GPS.
- Your consent choices: the answer you gave in the consent message, stored on your phone and sent with ad requests so Google can respect it.
- App and ad activity: such as app launches, ads requested, shown and tapped.
- Diagnostics: such as crash logs and performance data of the ad software.
- Device information: such as the device model, operating system version, language and app version.
Google uses this data to show and measure ads, to personalise them where you allow it, for analytics and to prevent fraud. Non-personalised ads still use some of this data, for example your approximate location and to prevent fraud. Google is responsible for this data under its own policies: Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Your controls
- Android: Settings, Google, Ads (on some phones Settings, Privacy, Ads) to delete or reset your advertising ID.
- iPhone: Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
What we receive
Emails you send us
If you write to us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use it only to answer you and fix the problem you report, we do not add you to any mailing list and we do not pass it on. We delete it when we no longer need it to help you, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Statistics from the stores
Google Play and Apple show us combined numbers about installs, uninstalls, ratings and crashes. Crash reports come only from people who allowed their phone to share diagnostics with app developers, and they do not tell us who you are. Google and Apple collect this under their own privacy policies.
Ad reports
Google AdMob shows us combined numbers about ads, such as how many were shown and earnings by country. These reports do not tell us who you are.
Children
Lumo Pop is made for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. The game does not ask your age. If you think a child under 13 has sent us personal data, for example in an email, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland or some US states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal data, to object to its use and to withdraw consent.
- Because there are no accounts, the only personal data we hold is email you sent us. Write to us and we will answer within one month.
- We cannot link ad data to you. To control it, use the consent message, delete or reset your advertising ID, refuse tracking on iPhone, or uninstall the game. For data Google holds, see the Google Privacy Policy linked above.
- You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Legal bases in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: your consent for personalised ads and for storing and reading information on your device for ads; our legitimate interest in showing non-personalised ads to fund the game, answering your emails and keeping the game working and safe.
Where data is processed
Google may process ad data in countries other than yours, including the United States, under its own safeguards. Your emails to us are stored with our email provider.
Changes to this policy
If an update changes what data the game uses, we update this page before that update is released and change the date at the top. The store privacy labels (Google Play "Data safety", App Store "App Privacy") change in the same release.
